USCIS uses the date you filed Form N-400. If you filed before October 20, 2025, you take the 2008 civics test: up to 10 oral questions from a list of 100, with 6 correct answers required. If you filed on or after October 20, 2025, you take the 2025 civics test: up to 20 oral questions from a list of 128, with 12 correct answers required.
Ann will help you practice the version that applies to you. Rules and answers can change, so always confirm your test version with USCIS: check for test updates and review the 2025 civics test.
English instruction only: Ann does not determine immigration eligibility, prepare or file Form N-400, recommend a legal strategy, represent students before USCIS, or provide legal advice.
How lessons work
You do not need to be perfect. You need focused practice and a clear understanding of what to expect.
You and Ann identify your current level and the areas that need the most help.
You use interview-style questions and repeat the areas that cause difficulty.
You receive clear correction and simple practice for between lessons.
Student results
“You gave me confidence to speak and write on my own.”
“I am a U.S. Citizen because of you and your help.”
Student experiences are individual. Lessons do not guarantee a test or immigration outcome.
